As a project within Iowa State Professor Tim Derrick's Functional Anatomy course this site will give visitors an overview of the shoulder complex and associated concepts.
This site will include information about the shoulder complex's bones, musculature, movements, injuries and treatments. The shoulder complex, with three bones and five joints provides wide functional range of motion for manipulating objects with the hand. Wide range of motion leads to deficits in stability. |
The creators of this site, Blake Engelhoven and Micah Hayek, are both Seniors majoring in Kinesiology at Iowa State University.
Blake's plans after graduating include traveling the world and eventually ending his adventures on Mars.
Micah plans to remain on his birth-planet and become a rehabilitation professional to treat the aging population.
